Fried asparagus in Wold Top Beer Batter

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: Ready in under 30 mins
Ingredients:
  • 12 oz  Wold Top Beer
  • 2lbs asparagus, cut into 2 - inch pieces
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil,  as needed
Method:

Mix flour and seasonings together.  Add the beer to the dry ingredients mixing slowly until thick enough to cling to the asparagus.  Cut asparagus into 2 inch pieces.    Deep fry the coated asparagus in 2 inches of  heated Olive Oil until golden brown, turning once.
