Led by our expert baker, Simon, the Balloon Tree Bakery has gone from strength to strength, becoming one of the most cherished parts of our business.
Every item on our bakery shelves is made using tried and tested recipes, many of which have been perfected since we first opened in 2004. You’ll always find classic favourites like lemon drizzle loaves and Victoria sponge, alongside creative specials such as trifles in a jar or Simon’s luxury tiffin.
Everything is homemade on-site—no cake mixes, no additives—just fresh local flour, fresh local eggs, and a whole lot of skill.
Simon and his team are happy to help with bespoke orders, whether you need a celebration cake or have dietary requirements—they’ll always do their best to accommodate.
Many of Simon’s bakes are available in the Café cake cabinet, where he showcases his latest creations and trials new recipes. Seasonality is at the heart of the bakery, with homegrown fruit making an appearance when in season—think Wimbledon cake with our own strawberries or blackcurrant cheesecake using fruit straight from the farm.
